The National Monuments Service's description
Situated on the lower W slopes of Brandon mountain, circular cashel KE034-022---- contains the remains of at least 7 stone huts and a souterrain.
(5) The internal diameter of this circular hut was about 5.5m, but precise measurement is not possible because of later modifications to the W portion of the interior. The inner face is preserved to a height of 1.22m and the outer face, where visible at NW, is c. 1.35m high with a further .8m of later walling on top. To SE there is a wall-cupboard at present ground level. The main entrance lay in the SW sector where the wall no longer survives.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 538. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
