Situated on the NW slopes of Reenconnell, overlooking the level plain drained by the Feohanagh river, this site is known locally as a burial ground (KE033-016002-) and is reputed to be the church site (KE033-016001-) from which the townland derived its name. Large quantities of stone have been removed from the site in the past (local information) and little of the enclosure remains. A field wall bisects the site N-S, and on its W side the enclosure survives as a low semi-circular platform. On its E side the enclosure is represented by an irregular terrace, defined to N and S by low scarps and to E by a modern field wall. The lower courses of the latter are constructed with large boulders which may represent part of the original enclosing wall. The overall area thus defined measures 37.5m E-W x 28.8m N-S. The grave mounds formerly visible in the interior do not survive (local information).
