The location of this hut site is marked on the original Castleisland Archaeological Survey map (currently held in the Archaeological Survey Unit, U.C.C.) as being slightly NE of centre in rath (KE031-018----). (Sheila Ronan, 10 May 2006)
Described in 1987 as follows; 'The feature is roughly situated at the centre of the ringfort interior with the ground sloping to the south. Below ground level is a circular area 3.7m in diameter lined with a well constructed dry stone wall. the small flat stones are coursed to a height of 1m on the upslope and 0.45m on the downslope. On the south side it has been damaged by a tree trunk and in the other places the wall begins to lean slightly inward'.
