The National Monuments Service's description

'Monitoring of the development of a new housing estate on the western suburbs of Tralee was undertaken (Excavation No: 96E390) and a number of potential archaeological findspots were identified........Further archaeological activity was located 20m north-west of the cremations [KE029-237001-, KE029-237002-] and included a large pit at the edge of a spread of white clay. The base and sides of the pit were burnt. The fill included moderate to frequent amounts of burnt sandstone fragments; no other artefacts were recovered from it.'
