The National Monuments Service's description

The precise location of a possible megalithic tomb referred to a a 'Druid's Altar' in the townland of Clahane recorded in the Minute Book of County Kerry Field Club 03/05/1939 (Vol. 1, 8) has not been identified. The Kerry Field Club recorded that a 'stone ball found in Foley's Glen by Mr Hugh Slattery' who stated that 'one of them rests in the central cavity or bowl of the slab of the druid's altar' (SMR File).
