The National Monuments Service's description

Two fields N of KE026-018----, on the summit of a low rise, a lintelled underground structure was discovered but subsequently filled in (local information). Local tradition of a burial ground a little to E (KE026-016----) suggests the possibility that this was a grave and not a souterrain.

The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 742. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
