The National Monuments Service's description

Possible cairn which the Castleisland District Archaeological Survey mentioned that 'a pencilled note records their presence [grave cairns] at this site on the OS 2nd edition maps housed in the Dept. of Archaeology UCC. The note records 'several large grave cairns - John Morissey'. To date this map has not been located. The site was visited by the Castleisland survey and they failed to locate any surface evidence of an archaeological monument here.
