The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 33m N-S, 35m E-W
This univallate rath is bounded to the NW through N to NE by a fieldbank which curves around the fort. It consists of a sub-circular area enclosed by a bank and external fosse. The earthen enclosing bank is 7m wide and rises to 2m internally and 3m externally. The external fosse, which is only traceable from the NW through N to NE, is 1.6m wide and c .8m deep. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land, and contained within are the possible remains of a rectangular house-site; several small mounds are also visible. The house-site's (KE021-119001-) long axis is aligned NW-SE and measures 12m x 6m with walls c 1m thick. It would appear to be divided into three sections of roughly equal size. At least four small mounds (KE021-119002-) also exist in the interior, all roughly 1.2m in internal diameter and .4m high.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 784. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
