The National Monuments Service's description
Lissireen/Lios Irín (ringfort of Irín). This circular enclosure, which is situated three fields S of KE021-030----, is not marked on the 1841-42 OS map. It does appear on the later edition of 1898 and is cut by a fieldbank running NE-SW. No surface trace survives today.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 773. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
