The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 36m N-S, 40m E-W
This possible bivallate rath consists of a sub-circular inner area enclosed by an earthen bank. An outer bank can only be distinguished from the NW through W to SW. It is only here, as well, that an intervening fosse can be noticed. Where the fosse survives it is c 2m wide. The outer earthen enclosing bank rises to 2m above the fosse and 1.2m above the external ground level. The inner enclosing bank has also been much disturbed: to the NE the bank has been levelled, and to the ESE a shed has been built into the bank. Elsewhere it survives as a 6m wide bank which rises to 1.2m internally and 1m-2m externally. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land. The original entrance may have been situated to the S, where there is a 5m wide gap with evidence that it was stone lined. In the N sector of the interior lay the entrance to a souterrain (KE021-004001-). According to the landowner, the tunnel travelled in a N direction, but this feature has now been completely filled in.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 734. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
