The National Monuments Service's description

According to the Kerry Field Notes (1940, 75-83), the party inspected the standing stone (KE020-020001-) and other archaeological monuments in its immediate vicinity, including the large stone fort (KE020-037----). They mention, to the W and SW of the above, numerous hut sites which did not need the protection of the stone fort. No visible trace of these survives today. See also (KE008-003----)

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 1110. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
