The National Monuments Service's description
Situated to the SW of Caherfearta (KE020-037----) in a large field, circular enclosure KE020-038---- is marked on the 1842 and 1897 OS maps. However, no permission was granted to visit the site.
According to the Kerry Field Notes (1940) there were indications of a souterrain (KE020-038001-) which was not open.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 684. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
