The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter c. 38m N-S, c. 48m E-W
Situated to the W of KE020-017----, this univallate rath has been severely cut on the S to E side and S through W to NW side by fieldbanks. What survives is an earthen enclosing bank which runs from the N to E to SE, giving it an arc-shaped appearance. It is 6m wide at the base and rises to 2.8m above the external ground level and 2m above the interior. The entrance would appear to lie to the NE; it is 10m wide and was probably stone lined. In the interior, just inside the entrance, is an oblong mound (KE020-015001-) running in a NE-SW direction, 2.4m wide x 14.4m long internally and .8m high. About 9m SW lies another oblong mound (KE020-015002-), its long axis running E-W, measuring 2.5m wide x 10.4m long internally and 1.2m high. Finally, about 18m to the NW of this, lies the third oblong mound (KE020-015003-), the long axis of which runs roughly N-S; it is 3m wide x 9m long internally and c 1m high.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 670. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
