The National Monuments Service's description

This small bivallate rath is situated on the side of a hill sloping in a N direction. It consists of a sub-circular inner area enclosed by a low earthen bank, which rises to an average .7m externally and .6m above the interior. The outer bank only survives NNW-W where it ranges from 1.6m-5.2m wide, and rises to .3m above the external ground level and .8m above the fosse. The fosse is only evident where the outer bank is visible. It ranges from 1.8m-2.2m wide.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 660. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
