The National Monuments Service's description

When the Kerry Field Club visited a bog in the above townland in 1945 (Vol 1, 617), they came across a large mound, the top of which had been cleared revealing a large irregularly shaped limestone flagstone. It was supported on seven uprights, 4 feet high.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 1115. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
