The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 30.6m N-S, 30m E-W
This univallate rath is situated in a corner of a field and has now been much disturbed. It consists of a circular raised area, though to the NE and E slight traces of the enclosing bank can be distinguished. NW to N and NE, the enclosing bank was later stone faced. The SW to W sectors of the enclosing bank have also been disturbed. An external fosse can be noted NE through E to S to SW. It is now very shallow and is best preserved to the E where it is 3.8m wide and .3m deep. A causeway appears to run across the fosse to the S, but there is no corresponding entrance in the bank. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land, and contained within the NW sector is a semi-circular depression curving into the stone-faced bank. The landowner (Mr Collis) stated that this was the entrance to the souterrains (KE015-104001-), but was filled in a number of years ago. Also to be noted in the interior are five small mounds, Three are in a line running NW-SE, one is in the NE sector and the fifth towards the E sector.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 577. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
