The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 32.7m NW-SE
This circular univallate rath is situated in a corner of a very marshy field. It consists of a circular area enclosed by a bank and exterior fosse. The enclosing earthen bank is c 4m wide at the base and rises to .6m high externally and .4m internally. The external fosse encloses the whole site, except to the SE and NW, and is 2.6m wide and .4m deep. The entrance possibly lies to the E. It was perhaps stone lined, as numerous stones are visible. This site since it was visited in 1990 for a preliminary inspection has been completely ploughed out.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 587. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
