The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 26.8m N-S, 24.4m E-W
Situated SE of KE014-052---- and one field N of the 'The Bone Fortification' (KE014-054----), this site is marked on the 1842 OS map as a circular enclosure. On the 1916 edition it is not as well pronounced and a fieldbank runs along the W side. Today, this site appears as a sub-circular raised area which is cut slightly to the W-SW by a fieldbank. It rises to a maximum of 1m above the surrounding land. The interior would appear to be sloping gently S.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 455. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
