The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter could not be taken
This univallate cahir, which lies SE of KE013-019----, is clearly marked on the 1841-42 OS map. On the later edition map of 1916 it has been very much levelled and only a tiny portion survives. Today only a segment of the cahir survives. The enclosing stone bank is still visible N to E, where it is very low, measuring 2m-4m wide at the base and rising to .4m high. In the surviving interior, in the NE sector, is a large raised mound, 6m N-S, 5m E-W and c 1m high. NW of this is a small mound, 2m N-S, 3m E-W and .8m high.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 814. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
