The National Monuments Service's description
Marked on the 1841-42 OS map as 'Kyle Burial Ground' (Cill) and on the later edition it is 'Kyle Burial Ground (site of) '. The landowner states that he ploughed out the remainder of this site about 15 years ago and planted an orchard there.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 856. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
