Internal diameter 42m N-S, 41m E-W
Lissanaffrin/Lios an Aifrinn (ringfort of the mass). This univallate rath, slightly cut on its W side by a fieldbank running N-S, consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined bank. The enclosing bank has a steeper exterior side rising to a maximum of 3.6m, while the height above the interior is 1.6m. Slight trace of an external fosse is to be noted N through E to S; it is 1.8m wide and .5m below the height of the surrounding land.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 347. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
