The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 28.6m N-S, 29.3m E-W
This circular univallate rath is enclosed by an earth and stone bank, on average 6.9m wide and rising to a maximum of 2m externally and 1.3m above the interior. Two main gaps to the NW and SE, measuring 2.4m and 2.2m respectively, provide access to the interior. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land. In the W sector is a semi-circular raised area, .7m high, curving in towards the bank. About 3m to the E of this is a small depression, 2.3m x 1.6m, and 2.4m NE of this is another depression, 1.8m x 2m.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 359. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
