Promontory fort described in 2002 as follows; ‘A subrectangular headland north of ‘Lisheen’ promontory fort exhibits faint evidence of having been defended by a low collapsed earthen bank. The trace of a short section of a fosse close to the northern cliff edge at the neck of the headland may be associated. A 9m subcircular enclosure defined by a slight fosse and inner scarp close to the northeastern corner of the interior. The nature of this feature is unclear; possible associated with the defence of the headland or may by associated with kelp burning. The shore is accessible from the interior. The surrounding ground consists of flat fertile pasture divided by earthen banks and field walls. A modern cliff-edge bank cuts off the headland' (Casey 2002, 60, no. Z).
