The National Monuments Service's description
The name Ballingarry Castle was attached to the 17th century tower (KE008-006006-) at the SE end of the two subterranean trenches (see KE008-006004-; KE008-006005-). According to Toal (1995, 281-82, no. 1000) Ballingarry Castle is located at the S end of the promontory fort (KE008-006001-).
