The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 34m
This univallate rath has been completely enclosed by a fieldbank that curves with the site, thus giving it a bivallate look. The circular area is enclosed by a well-defined earthen bank and exterior fosse. The maximum external height of the enclosing bank measures 1.3m and internally .7m. On average the width of the bank at the base measures 5m. The entrance may have been to the E where a 3m wide gap provides access to the interior.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 266. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
