The National Monuments Service's description
This circular enclosure, situated immediately NW of Rathroe (246), is not marked on any edition of the OS maps. Today it has been much levelled. It consists of a sub-circular area which is enclosed by an 8m-wide and .6m-high bank. From the N to E, the enclosing bank cannot be traced at all, and from the E to S it just survives as a barely perceptible .4m rise.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 1026. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
