The National Monuments Service's description

Internal diameter 28m E-W
This bivallate platformed rath is cut in half by a road running E-W, so no surface trace of the S half survives. The N section consists of a semi-circular platform area enclosed by a fosse and outer bank. The inner area is raised 1.7m above the fosse which measures c 5m in width. The outer earthen bank has a maximum external height of 2m and measures .9m above the fosse. Modern steps have been set into the raised platformed area to the NNE.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 200. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
