The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 26m N-S, 29m E-W
This univallate rath is situated in a large pastoral field and the view is excellent in all directions. To the N to NE is Kilpaddoge with its three ringforts (KE003-009----, KE003-010----, KE003-011----). The earthen enclosing bank is a maximum of 1.2m high externally and .8m internally. The width of the bank at the base is 5m. An exterior fosse, evident from the N through W to S, measures 2m in width and .5m below the height of the surrounding land. A c2m wide gap to the NE is possibly secondary, while a c 4m wide gap to the W is the possible entrance.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 182. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
