The National Monuments Service's description
This site is situated on rising ground and has a commanding view of the surrounding land. All that remains of this once univallate rath is a semi-circular earthen bank that curves for c 22m before being cut by a townland boundary fieldbank. The bank has an external height of .4m, an internal height of .4m and the width of the bank at the base measures c 5m.
The above description is derived from Toal C. (compiler) ‘The North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority. (1995) no. 102. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
