The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 25m N-S, 23m E-W
Lisnambroch/Lios na mBroc (ringfort of the badgers). This univallate rath consists of an oval-shaped inner area enclosed by an earthen bank and external fosse. The maximum external height measures 2.4m, the internal height measures 1.2m and the width at the base 6m. The fosse is well-defined for most of the site, except to the NE where it appears as only a slight waterlogged depression. Elsewhere it is deep and flat bottomed, measuring 2m-3m in width and c 1m below the height of the surrounding land. A 3m wide gap in the SE bank provides access to the interior.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 149. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
