This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as 'Kyle burial ground' but does not appear on the later 1914 OS map. Today, this burial ground has been completely levelled and no surface trace remains. Two fields N of this site lies the coastline and the River Shannon.

The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 842. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
