The National Monuments Service's description
This site was situated at the edge of a cliff just S of Leek Castle (KE001-035----). It has been lost due to erosion of the cliff face. According to Westropp (1909) the site consisted of 'a low earthwork 105 feet to 84 feet, by 60 feet to 66 feet wide, with a lesser mound, 57 feet long inside to the south-west, partly defaced by the modern ditch and fence along the cliff.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 126. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
