The National Monuments Service's description
Internal diameter 28m N-S, 26m E-W
This rath consists of a circular area enclosed by a bank. The S side has been incorporated into a fieldbank. Its situation on the side of a hill sloping in a N direction necessitated the building up of the bank to different levels at different sections of the site. The external height of the bank above the surrounding land measures c1.5m, the height above the interior varies from .6m to 1.2m and the width of the bank at the base varies between 3m and 5m.
The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle. Brandon in association with FAS Training and Employment Authority (1995), no. 115. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
