The National Monuments Service's description
Known locally as 'Mary's Well', still visited and kept clean. Situated close to the site of the nunnery (KD040-015----). Fitzgerald describes a carved stone, known as 'the Greek Stone' which stood at the well until about 1875, when it was destroyed by the local blacksmith (JKAS 1891, 42).
