The National Monuments Service's description

In 1994 a sewage pipe trench was being cut when previously unrecorded burials were encountered. The discovery was reported and a subsequent archaeological inspection observed disturbed bones together with an in situ skeleton in the trench profile. It lay c. 0.8m below ground surface level and was orientated in a NE-SW direction. As the sewage pipe had already been laid and the trench was partially backfilled, it was recommended that the backfilling could be completed under archaeological supervision.
The same inspection also noted that the sewage pipe trench had also been cut through a possible enclosure (KD035-031----) c. 240m to the SSE.
