The National Monuments Service's description
In level tillage. According to Fitzgerald (1899-1902g, 132-3), ‘”Rahdroo” – This was the name of a small circular rath which stood by the roadside … John Butler, the last sovereign of Athy demolished it.’ Visible on a 2005 OSi Orthophoto as the cropmark of a fosse enclosing a circular area (est. diam. c. 40m). When upstanding, the monument was apparently avoided by a later road which bends SW-W-NW around it.
