The National Monuments Service's description
According to Carroll (1891-5, 107-8) the church, '… may still be traced by the raised surface where the surrounding walls fell in.' At the N end of a graveyard (KD035-003003-) on a low, narrow N-S ridge bordering the E bank of the River Barrow. A rectangular area (ext. dims. L c. 32m N-S; Wth c. 19m E-W) is defined along S and W by collapsed, grassed-over walling (av. Wth 3.5m; H 0.3-0.5m), with faint traces of collapsed walling along the E. A grass-covered, horseshoe-shaped cairn (dims. L c. 12m E-W; Wth c. 10m N-S; H. c. 1.5m), open to the E, at the NE corner may be the stump of a tower. The local topography may account for the atypical orientation of the church which stands on a narrow ridge in a flood plain. A holy well (KD035-003002-) and holy tree (KD035-003004-) lie c. 14m S of the S end of the church.
