The National Monuments Service's description
On a N-facing pasture slope in a field known locally as 'the Castle field'. A castle is shown in this general area by Noble and Keenan on their 1752 Map of County Kildare. Traces of a low (H 0.5m) roughly rectangular platform (c. 15m E-W; c. 11m N-S) are pointed out locally as the remains of a former castle.
