The National Monuments Service's description
Visible on both Apple Maps (pers. comm. C. Chambers, 25-06-2015) and on Bing satellite imagery (pers. comm. D. Brennan, 18-12-2015) as the cropmarks of three roughly concentric fosses enclosing a large sub-circular area (estimated external diameter c. 120m; estimated internal diameter c. 33m) enclosing a hilltop, in tillage. The area is shown as wooded on the 1st ed. (1839) of the OS 6-inch map and is named ‘Duneany Wood (Fox Covert)’ on the latest ed. (1939) of that map. This may be the Dún which gave the townland, Duneany [Eanna’s Fort], its name.
