The National Monuments Service's description
In 1987 human remains were discovered during excavations for development works in Kildangan Stud. Subsequent investigation by NMI staff uncovered the surviving W-half of a rectangular pit (dims. L 1.1m E-W; Wth 0.7m) which contained the extended inhumation of a young adult female. A sample of bone was submitted for AMS dating and yielded a date of 1610±45 BP, which corresponds to the period 342-555 AD. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol 2, 51-4)
