The National Monuments Service's description
In gently undulating, well-drained pasture. Shown as a square enclosure and annotated ‘Rath’ on a 1773 map by Scale (NLI 21 F 10 and 29), and similarly recorded, but annotated ‘Fort’, on an 1833 map of the estate of the Marquis of Drogheda by Longfield (NLI Ms. No. 16 F 8). The 1st ed. (1839) of the OS 6-inch map shows an almost square enclosure (est. L c. 46m NNW-SSE; c. 44m ENE-WSW). No visible surface trace survived in 1986 (SMR file). Although named ‘Site of Rath’ on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map, its morphology suggests it may have been a moated site, similar to one (KD026-008----) c. 730m to the W.
