The National Monuments Service's description

In a modern chapel just N of Moore Abbey house. A fine circular font (diam. 0.6m; H 0.5m) decorated with eight arcaded panels, each with an angel, and rope moulding, stands on a later pedestal, the base of which may be medieval. It may have come from a now levelled church shown to the N of the house on a 1759 map of Monasterevin Demesne by Scale (NLI Ms. 21. F. 37 (131-71) Map 147), or from the Carmelite abbey (KD026-001----) which once stood here.
