The National Monuments Service's description

A slightly raised, circular area (diam. 12m) is enclosed by a shallow fosse and three external banks and two further fosses (overall diam. c. 45m). The banks decrease in height and width away from the centre, and there is an entrance at S. A military pill-box has been inserted into the middle fosse at SW. The site is very overgrown with whins. (O'Riordáin 1950, 274: Site A; scaled section NW-SE Plate XXVII).
