The National Monuments Service's description

In 1959, human remains were discovered during the construction of a water tank. According to a local report, a body lay in an extended position, orientated E-W, with the arms crossed over the chest, and was found at a depth of c. 0.9m below ground level. According to a subsequent coroner's report, the remains were those of a female aged under 21, but the cause of death could not be established. (Cahill and Sikora 2011, Vol 2, 483-4)
