According to Bradley et al. (1986 vol. 4, 352) St David's Castle, situated on higher ground to the SE of St David's Church (KD019-030020-), is a three-storied structure with a modern roof and wall-walk. There is a pointed barrel vault over the ground floor and a projecting stairs turret on the SE angle. It has been extensively modernised and is at present inhabited.
