The National Monuments Service's description

According to a local tradition, quoted by Jackson (1979-80, 157), there was a well in this townland which was believed to be on the site of a monastery. A possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (KD017-009004-), a possible medieval field system (KD017-009002-) and a possible medieval church site (KD017-009001-) have been identified in Feighcullen, but the holy well has not been located.
