The National Monuments Service's description
Named 'Castle' on the Down Survey (1655-6), while Noble and Keenan show a large, gabled house in this area on their 1752 map of County Kildare. Not recorded on any edition of the OS 6-inch map, but appears to have been located in the vicinity of 'Bishopscourt House'.
