The National Monuments Service's description

The monument is named 'Rath' and shown on the 1st ed. (1838) of the OS 6-inch map as a roughly circular area (est. diam c. 40m). In 1972, it was described as a roughly oval platform-type ringfort (int. diams. 50m E-W; 27m N-S) built on a slight rise, with no trace of a bank or fosse. By 1986, however, only a rise was visible (SMR file).
