The National Monuments Service's description
According to Reid (1999, 6-17) the church was built in 1831 when 'One church capable of accommodating 200 persons (was) built by means of a gift of £900 British granted by the late Board of First Fruits' and was described in the Deed of Consecration as measuring 'fifty-four feet (c.16.5m) from east to west and twenty-five feet (c.7.5m) north to south' (internally). The severe storms of the early 1980's caused major damage to the church and in 1985 the building was made safe by the removal of the roof and the blocking-up of doors and windows. The church stands in a roadside graveyard (KD013-005003-) which also contains the ruins of a medieval parish church (KD013-005002-) all contained in a possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (KD013-005001-).
