The National Monuments Service's description
In 1962 Rynne recorded that 'during the years 1942-5 .. a find was made about 12 ft. deep in a bog at Cloncumber (OS 6-inch sheets 12 and 17) … a beehive-shaped (corbelled?) stone structure (KD012-009----/KD017-032----), about 2ft. high and about 1.5-2 ft. in diam at the base, which, when opened was full of hazelnut shells.
Nearby was found a human skeleton and the antlers of a giant Irish deer.
The finder was Mr. Murt Murphy, Ballyteague, Kilmeague, Naas , Co. Kildare' (SMR file). The exact location of this monument is unknown.
